“Emotions”
Objectives:
This assignment has been designed to:
Give students an idea how to conduct a small research applying a questionnaire.
Sharpen students’ skills by relating the results of research and the general trends of the
society
Assignment:
An appropriate blend of emotions is essential for a healthy life of human beings. The
Emotional Maturity Questionnairehas been uploaded in downloads section of VU-LMS. You
need to download it and get it filled from five males and five females. Age range of the sample
should be from 20 to 30 years. After that, you have to score all the filled forms according to
the provided instructions at the end of the questionnaire and present the scores in the below
mentioned table.

Afterwards you have conducted this activity, keep the record of the scores on above
mentioned table and present this table in the results section of your report.
Your report will include following main sections:
1. Introduction
In this section a brief introduction of the project including brief description of emotional
intelligence, purpose of conducting this activity and main research question is required. (5)
2. Procedure/Method
This section will include the narration of the steps that you have followed while conducting
this research. (3)
3. Results:
a). Quantitative analysis:
Present the scores in the above mentioned table.
Present the scores in form of a single line chart presenting the scores of both males and
females. (Scores on Y-Axis and Participants on X-Axis)
b). Qualitative analysis:
You have to describe the results and identify the gender thatis found to be more emotionally
mature on the basis of the obtained scores.

4. Discussion and Conclusion:
Discuss your findings in this section and try to relate the findings of your research with daily
life experiences that how emotional expressions of both genders relate to the findings of your
research. Hence, in this section you are required tomention that how results of the research are
valid, as similar kind of attitudes are prevailing in the society too. (This part of assignment
must not exceed 400 words). (6)
