ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification for Education Sector
Scenario:
In June 2000, Premium University became the first University in Pakistan and one of the first few University Teaching facilities to receive ISO 9001: 2000 certification for Quality Management System for its student and support Services. Since then, the University has successfully demonstrated its focus on quality improvement in subsequent recertification audits and continued to hold the certification.
In June 2009, the University successfully completed its recertification for the new revised version of ISO 9001:2008. This recertification speaks of its commitment to continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives, leading to the provision of high quality and care for their valuable students and faculty.
The quality division head was informed by ISO official that certain requirements are due for the university under guidelines for the application of ISO 9001:2000 in education sector of 2007. These guidelines are incorporated from the QMS clauses which were especially designed for universities and educational institutes aiming for quality education.
Requirement:
As a quality head of the Premium University, what, in your view, should be the clauses under which education sectors lie and name at least 5 requirement clauses?
